Grace Sight #31 is the Classic Christmas Songs by Pentatonix.
On this Christmas season at the Grace Light blog we wanted to share three songs by the group Pentatonix to get us in the Christmas mood. Pentatonix is an a capella singing group from Arlington, Texas that sings largely pop music (Wikipedia: Pentatonix). However, their Christmas music includes some of the most beautiful renditions of classical Christian music about the birth of Christ. The Christmas three songs included here are.
Here is a video of the Gospel Singers Icognito performing at Britian's Got Talent in 2013.
There is a lot of symbolism in this performance. It illustrates a Christian (in this case Pastor Patrick) getting mocked and then being victorious at the end. It also illustrates that Christians are not alone even if they seem to be at first (there are other Christians around just perhaps incognito).
Keith Green was a popular Christian musician during the years of my youth. He died on July 28, 1982 at the age of 29 in a plane accident. He was survived by his wife Melody who continues to run their ministry known as Last Days Ministries. One of the themes of Keith's ministry was evangelism and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ through his music.
Keith Green gave the Christian world many cherished and upbeat songs such as Your Love Broke Through, You Put This Love in My Heart, and Asleep in The Light. Keith Green's music can be purchased conveniently from his iTunes page. One of the most beloved songs of Keith Green that is especially meaningful today is his work called Easter Song. It is here for viewing with the lyrics.
Here is a video of the full story of Keith Green's life. Here you will find inspirational glimpses at what made Keith Green a Grace Light.
The world experienced a great loss when Keith Green left this earth at such a young age. We know though that God had a plan to share Keith's light in death as well as life.
